Professional Supervision

Professional supervision for social work, human services and community work practitioners at any stage of their professional development and practice hopes and needs. Areas of expertise include:

  • Community sector/not for profit

  • Working alongside young people with life complexities, including substance use, homelessness, criminalisation and/or child protection experience

Counselling

Counselling is a person centred, collaborative space with a strengths focus.   We will 'meet you where you are at' in your journey in ways and spaces that feel most comfortable for you. 

Counselling can be as simple as a chat over coffee or while walking in the park.  You may also benefit from a more structured therapeutic intervention.  Reach out to see if this is a fit for you.

Experience and qualifications

Renee, the mud behind muddy minds matter, has worked in the community sector since 1997 with experience across mental health, homelessness, youth and family, parenting, disability and child protection spaces.  Working alongside people with lived experience (of homelessness, disability, and child protection) has gifted Renee a deeper understanding of what social should be and what it can mean to enable not only individual change, but more importantly, systems and structural change.  Renee's academic qualifications are:

  • PhD candidate at University of QLD (current)

  • Masters of Social Work Studies, 2016 (University of QLD) 

  • Graduate diploma International and Community Development Studies, 2003 (Deakin)

  • Bachelor of Arts, 1998 (University of QLD)

 

Location

Based in Magandjin, Meanjin (Brisbane), we can work together in a place you feel most comfortable.  This might be online, walk and talk in a local park or cafe, or an office site (your location,  an office space in North Brisbane or St Lucia).  

How and where we work together will be guided by your needs and will offer the privacy and space required for the work.
